Experienced Interior Designer - SKHAI

Experienced Interior Designer

Craft sophisticated interiors for our luxury villas in Bali

Bali, Indonesia Design & Architecture Contract In-person

SKHAI is a leading luxury real estate developer with an international presence, dedicated to creating exceptional residences in some of the world’s most sought-after locations. As we expand into Bali, we are building a team that shares our commitment to design excellence and architectural quality.

What we're looking for

We want a designer who can translate a luxury brief into spaces that feel considered, cohesive, and unmistakably premium — from the first mood board to the final piece of loose furniture. You’re equally comfortable shaping a concept and producing the detailed construction drawings that bring it to life. You have a refined eye, a deep understanding of luxury design principles, and the project-management discipline to carry complex residential and hospitality projects from concept to completion.

Your day-to-day

  • Develop concept designs and mood boards that capture the desired ambiance, style, and luxury aesthetic
  • Lead the preliminary selection of materials, finishes, and colour palettes for a cohesive, luxurious visual experience
  • Create layout plans, furniture arrangements, and space-optimisation strategies
  • Design furniture plans that align with functional and aesthetic requirements, with unique solutions that enhance luxury living
  • Draft preliminary electrical and lighting plans to set the ambiance of each space
  • Develop floor-pattern designs and material finishes, and assess suitable appliances and fixtures
  • Select and specify loose furniture, built-in furniture designs, and soft furnishings in line with project concepts
  • Produce detailed specifications and construction drawings that guide the development phase
  • Finalise comprehensive electrical and lighting plans that reflect the desired interior atmosphere
  • Oversee the integration of all soft furnishings and the final selection of loose and built-in furniture
  • Attend client and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and present design concepts
  • Work closely with the team and stakeholders to ensure cohesive designs aligned with all project goals
  • Ensure the design process integrates both creative and technical aspects for a complete luxury interior solution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field from a recognised institution
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience designing interiors for luxury residential or hospitality projects
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to completion
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design and visualisation tools
  • Strong ability to create mood boards, develop design concepts, and produce detailed construction drawings
  • Experience in materials selection, lighting plans, furniture design, and layout planning
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and a strong understanding of luxury design principles
  • Strong project-management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors

What we offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Work on architecturally distinctive luxury villa, apartment, and hotel projects in Bali
  • Career growth within a rapidly expanding international developer
  • A collaborative environment where design quality genuinely matters
